Pt Reyes

Mom and dad took me to this great B&B for Mom's birthday celebration.  Dad found a super dog friendly place for me to be welcomed.  In fact the lady that owns the place is adopting an English Shepherd puppy in November.  Mom and dad promised to take me back to visit the puppy when it's ok to meet her - since they think there is a lot of that breed in me.  Even though my coloring is off, I guess the things I do seem a lot like English Shepherd dogs.

Anyway, the name of the place is: Bear Valley Inn, and I was allowed to play all over the property and in the cottage.

I know this is blurry, but I was so fast this weekend, mom wasn't able to catch a good action shot of me being a baseball star!!!!

Mom thinks I'm a little angel...

Here dad and I are relaxing on the bed (before mom noticed I was supposed to stay off of it -- sorry, Amanda!!!!)

Here dad is making me up an extra special bowl of food for breakfast.

I loved to look out the window to the backyard - they had lots of stuff growing there and there were lots of birds and bugs flying around - looked very interesting to me.

We went to the beach twice - here is some marshland on the walk to the play area...

Mom kept me on a leash in this area because she said it was so fragile - I wanted to go exploring, but she said I couldn't.

She did let me play close to the water cause she knows how I love to run.  I also found a great find  - but she wouldn't let me bring it home...

Further down the beach we ran into a little local doggie.  His owner took him off his leash because it looked like he wanted to play with me, but as soon as he was free, he turned into a little Cujo, he was chasing me and biting my butt - and can you believe he was crying like I was biting him -- oh, I was so glad when his parents finally caught him and took him off of me.

I'm not really good at handling playing with the rough playing dogs, I used to be, but now it really scares me and I just want to run away...

Mom and I stopped for a little pose...

Before I set off to play with dad.

We also went on a hike along a ridge near our cottage...  It was gorgeous and there were a few really nice local dogs.

The ridge trail was kind of like rolling hills...

This was the first time I was this close to cows.  I'm always really interested when we drive by them in the car, but face to face!!!

Mom made me stay close to her since they were so much bigger than me and I haven't had any herding training.

But the cows were not everywhere - just one area of the trail.

After the hike, we went back to the cottage and took naps.  Here is a pic of me at our door trying to convince someone to take me out to play ball.

I had such a great time playing and visiting this weekend...

I also found a little boat in the yard - very cute!!!!!!

Well, soon enough it was time to start  heading home.  Luckily Pt Reyes is very close to our home in Berkeley, so we had a quick drive...
